Independent Fabrication Document Review
Fast, Expert & Commercially Aware
There is a well-known problem in fabrication and engineering procurement that nobody talks about openly.
A design house, contractor, or fabricator submits a weld pack, NDT procedure, or inspection and test plan for client review. Then they wait. Two weeks. A month. Sometimes longer. Work is on hold. Programmes slip. And when the documents finally come back — 95% of the time, they come back without a single comment.
GC Logicals offers a solution.

WHAT WE REVIEW
GC Logicals provides independent technical review of fabrication and welding documentation to both ASME and EN/BS EN ISO standards. With thirty years of hands-on experience in high-integrity fabrication across nuclear, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors, we review documents the way an experienced welding engineer reads them — not the way a procurement administrator does.
WELDING DOCUMENTATION
- Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR / PQR)
- Welder Qualification Records (WQR)
- Weld Maps and Weld Traceability Documentation
- Weld Gap Analysis Reports

WHO THIS SERVICE IS FOR
DESIGN HOUSES
You have submitted documentation packages to oil majors, operators, and end clients and you are waiting weeks for a response that rarely comes back with meaningful comment. An independent review before submission tightens the package, reduces the likelihood of comments, and gives you confidence before it goes out.
FABRICATORS AND MANUFACTURERS
Your welding engineer has produced the procedures. Your quality manager has checked the ITP. But you are working in a sector — nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemical — where the cost of a rejection or a non-conformance during manufacture is significant. A second set of experienced eyes before submission costs far less than the alternative.
OIL MAJORS AND OPERATORS
Your supply chain submits documentation packages and your internal review resource is stretched. Outsourcing the technical review of fabrication and welding documentation to an independent, experienced welding engineer frees up your team and ensures packages are reviewed by someone who has spent thirty years on both sides of the process.
SELLAFIELD & NUCLEAR SUPPLY CHAIN
Documentation requirements in the nuclear sector are uniquely demanding. GC Logicals has direct experience supporting ISO 19443 certified manufacturers and nuclear procurement programmes. We understand what nuclear documentation review actually requires.
THE GC LOGICALS DIFFERENCE
Most documentation review takes weeks because it sits in a queue behind other priorities. At GC Logicals, document review is a dedicated service — not something fitted around other work.
TARGET TURNAROUND- 1 WEEK
Reviews are carried out by an engineer with thirty years of direct, hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, quality management, and project delivery across nuclear, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors. The same engineer who has generated hundreds of WPS and WPQR documents to ASME Section IX and BS EN ISO 15614 is the engineer who reviews yours.
That matters. Because a reviewer who has never written a weld procedure, never stood on a shop floor, and never managed a fabrication programme against a commercial deadline will read your documents very differently to one who has done all three.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Send us your documents
Submit your documentation package by email or secure file transfer. Include any relevant contract specifications or client requirements so we review against the correct standard.
2. We confirm scope and turnaround
We will confirm receipt, agree the review scope, and confirm the target return date — normally within one week of receipt.
3. Technical review carried out
Your documents are reviewed against the applicable standard — ASME Section IX, BS EN ISO 15614, BS EN ISO 9606, or client specification as applicable. Comments are clear, specific, and actionable.
4. Reviewed documents returned
Marked-up documents and a summary review sheet are returned within the agreed timeframe. If documents are compliant and correct, we will tell you that too.
STANDARDS WE WORK TO
- ASME Section IX Welding, Brazing and Fusing Qualifications
- BS EN ISO 15614-1 Welding Procedure Qualification
